H1B transfer and visa stamping.

Hi,
I am holding H1B visa on company A. I got a full time job and transferred the H1B to company B.
Tranfser petition for H1B has been approved on Company B but the extension of the status has been denied. Hence my legal counsel is suggesting to go out of country and re-enter.Further they affirm that I don't need to get stamped with this new approved petition(on company B) as I still have a valid visa in my passport with the company A(previous company)

1. Can I re-enter US with the visa of company A, holding a new H1B approval notice on company B ? or putting it different words... Is it a requirement to re-enter US only with the visa stamped through the Company B's approved petition ?
3. Are there any alternatives like re-entering from Canada or so, than going all the way to India,my home country.

Regards,
Narayan NP

if the approval did not come with new I-94 attached then u will have to travel outside the country, and if the old visa stamp on the passport is still valid then u may enter on the old visa, but if USCIS has noted that you need to visit the consulate for a new stamp you may have to go back to home country. Othherwise it should not matter where you are coming in through.
