H1B transfer, after query, moving to Premium Processing

I have been here in US on H1B since 3years. My H1B transfer filed on April 1st 2002 in Vermont service center. On Oct 15th 2002, got the query to send the credentials evaluation and justification for the job to take a Mechanical Engineering degree person. Responded to that query on Oct 28th. Deperately, I need to visit in India on end of December. I am not sure, I will get my H1B by end of Dec due to holiday season and etc. I am thinking of moving my process to Premium Processing now. But my Lawyer is reluctant on that. Is that good idea to move to Premium Processing? Will there be any probems in doing that?

Got an RFE for employment history

INS received it on 10/10/2002

Not yet approved so I have filed for the convert to Premium Processing by sending an additional $1000.00 on 12/02/2002.

Still waiting. Talked to immigration officer. He says it should be approved in couple of weeks.

I think the premium processing is the best option, I got a good experience with it. You will get your H1-B approval within 10 days.

I was in the same situ..applied in apr 15th 2002 upto nov 25 2002 i didn't get any response...so i applied for premium process on 26 nov and got approval on dec 3rd ..ie they took only 3 working days to process my application..

Go for premium if u r in urgent...goodluck.
