Thanks for allowing us to post such issues. This site is really awesome. Here is my situation:

Company A filed for my H1B extension and was approved. It is set to expire in 2013. I resigned from Company A in Nov 5th 2010 with intention to move back to my home country. My last paycheck from company A was Nov 12th 2010. The company is filing a motion to withdraw sponsorship that will be date Jan 5th 2011. During this time, I had a few issues that came up that might require me to stay in the USA for a while. My questions are as follows.

1. If I find another company that can hire me, what are my options for working for them? Would a H1B transfer work? If not, can I apply for a new H1B that is NOT cap subject since I already have one that is not expired?

2. If I want to change status to visiting Visa, what are the chances that that would get approved?

3. Would it make sense to go to Canada and apply for a visiting Visa?

4. How long can I legally stay here in the US without any adverse effects on immigration?

Please help me out... Thanks so much
