Hi,
I have a situation wherein, I have a H1B visa stamp from employer A and then an Approval (I-797) from employer B. I am currently in India only and never worked for employer A. I made a decision while I am here only.
Since I have decided to join employer B, I wanted to go to US now and join B. Lawyer of employer B says, it is ok to travel with the existing visa (Emp A) and holding the I-797 of employer B and tell the port of entry officials that I am going to work for B.
Does getting I-797 from B mean, that transfer is allowed ?
Do I have to apply for a separate H1B transfer after I go to the US?
Thanks,
Ravi.
