H1B to F1

Hi All,

I have been in US for last 3 years and have been pursuing part time education here. Now I am in the final stages of finishing my education but I am going to loose my job soon which might affect my H1B status.

I can find a new job but I want to finish the education ASAP and then go for a job.

Can anyone please advice me..How can I get my status changed from H1B to F1, so that I can finish my studies by going full time as soon as possible.

I would appreciate all advices on this matter.

Hi,

You should be ok as long as you haven't started the immigration process through your company (I-140, I-485). You should contact your school for info of getting an I-20 and converting to a Full time F1 student. But, I don't think you can continue your H1B work if you go F1 full time.
