I am currently working with a company full time on H1B my employer applied for PWD and conducted recruitment and found 1 US citizen. As I am in end of H1B 6th year I-94 expires sept 11 2025 but have recapture time of 97 days my employers attorney is advising to switch to Day 1 CPT university to COS F1 and continue employment while they will start the PERM process again. Is this ok or are there any challenges after the PERM to change back to H1B?
Also wanted to know the fees for filing I-539 Change of status from H1B to F1.
