H1B-Through the lottery-Is it portable for 6 yrs without stamping?

Hi,

I have a question about H1B portability.My current Visa status is H4.
I had applied for H1B through a consultant in april 2008 and i got through the lottery.
Also I got through a University for a full time MBA course from this September.So i will get an F1 Visa now.
What will happen to my H1 petition if i don't get it stamped.
I have heard that i will not have to go through the general cap(60k) or masters cap (20k) again for H1B after I complete my MBA... Is this correct info?

So is it true that once through the lottery the petition remains valid for 6 yrs??

It is valid for total of 6 years. Don't forget to file proper paperwork to get the full time.
