H1B Tansfer Process Question

Hello Everyone,

Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am currently working for company A in Rhode Island and was offered a position with company B in Mass.

Few question that i had are:

1. Should i be working for Company A till Company B files the H1B petition and gets an approval or can i start as soon as a receipt is received from INS - Any risks of petition denial?
2. WHile company B is filing the petiition, i remember seeing a post where it is mentioned that pay stubs are required. So these pay stubs are from Company A..right, since i havent started working for Company B?
3. How long does it take to process the H1B transfer? Anyone has any experience from Mass state - Please share

You can start working for company B once you get a receipt notice. There is always some risk though small of denial. If your paper work is perfect and company is in good standing then chances of rejection very low. If you want to play it safe do premium processing and start working for company B once the H-1 is approved. It will only take 15 days if you do Premium processing.

Yes, you need to provide the latest paystubs of company A.
