Had an appointment for 8:30 a.m. Was there at the consulate at 8:00 a.m.

Was sent upstairs (2nd floor) to pay the fee and preliminary document (DS-156/157/Passport/Photos/Fee/Employment Letter/Original I-797) check at 8:15 a.m.

Made us wait for about 45 mins on 20th floor. There was only one person (Indian) doing interviews...

Following are the questions he was asking the candidates..

1) How did you come to know about your current employer?
2) What is your educational background
3) How long were you both married (for H1-H4B applicants)?
4) What does your company do?
5) What do you do for the company?
6) How long have you been working for the current employer?
...

Asked to pay the reciprocity fee at the counter toward the end of the hall and asked to pick up the passport at 3:00pm.

None of the applicants along with me had any problems with stamping BUT I did run into a lady at the point of entry (Washington/B.C. border) who was denied (embassy was unable to evaluate the foreign degree she was posessing) a H1-B stamping at Vancouver embassy. So she had to fly back home (Delhi, India) to get it stamped.

All in all, Vancouver US Embassy a safe for visa stamping for the candidates possessing US degrees...
