I was working part time on H1-B visa for a Research University which i have a stamping for in my passport. This H1-B visa stamp is valid till 14-Sep-2007. Last year i got promoted to a full time job and filed for a new H1-B visa for the same research university. I have the approval document I-797 with me and am working as a full time employee currently.
I want to travel to a foreign country and return to USA on 5-Sep-2007. My question is, can i enter USA with the valid stamp (valid till 14-Sep-07) from my earlier position at the same university along with the new I-797? Or do i need to get a new stamping for the new I-797?
