Hi,

My H1B stamp expired and i have an approved extension valid until Aug, 2004. Now we file for another extension to extend from Aug, 2004 through premium processing.

I will be going to India in May want to get it stamped it there.
Does any one know based on what dates consulate issues the VISA. Will they issue from current date till what ever final date is on the second extension approval since i will be having two extension approvals from the same company?. Any similar experiences?.

Appreciate your help.

Good question.
Just to make sure, make copies of all the H1 approvals- especially I94s.
My guess is that they will go by the latest H1 approval start date and will give you a stamp based on that - because
1. They have to mention company name
2. Your latest H1 approval is the valid one.
3. All you need is a H1 stamp that is currently valid to enter and work in USA.

Maintain records of your tenure with previous employer- that fact is also stored somewhere in USCIS.
