H1B stamping - Letter from Employer

Hi all,
I am planning to go to India to get H1B/H4 visa stamped for me and my wife respectively.
Is it necessary that the letter from the employer mentions both my name and my wife's name (as spouse)?
I would really appreciate any help from anybody who has been through this recently.
