Hi All,

I am working in NY & I am going to Mumbai to have my H1B Extension/Revalidation for the next 3 years along with my 2 weeks of vacation. I have my approved LCA for NY along with my IT returns & other relevant documents.

I've submitted the DS-156 & DS-157 application forms online 10 days back. The DS-157 application asks, Have you made any specific travel arrangements. I am answering it as 'NO' as I have not yet booked the tickets.

I am planning to travel to Bombay flying from Denver, CO to Frankfurt to Bombay.

My Question:

1)
Incase, the Consular officer in Mumbai asks for the Travel Itinerary, & my application says 'No'. So, would I be correct in answering that I had booked my tickets after I submitted the DS-157 application online, hence it shows 'No'?

2) Incase, the Consular officer in Mumbai asks for the Travel Itinerary & sees that I am traveling from Colorado to Frankfurt to Mumbai & going back to Colorado via Frankfurt and not directly going to NY, would I be correct in answering that I am on vacation & going to Colorado for a Personal Visit (to meet friend)?

Would these impact by Visa approval in any way?

Appreciate your quick responses as I have to book tickets soon.

Thanks,
Brindhu
