Hi all,
I did MS here at UTA, got a job and H1B. Currently I am on OPT my F1 expires on dec 2005. Through my husband I have filed for Green card.
I am planning to go to calgary canada for h1B stamping by end of October. I would like to know how risky is it?? I have to visit India during Nov midweek.
If all the records are Ok is it easy to get H1B stamping in canada.
I am in full tension. Please give me your experience and also if anybody got their stamping recently in canada tell me about the risks.
Your answers will give a lot of relief.
Thank you very much in advance for all you help,

Why go to Canada for stamping when u r going to India

Hi,

These days the consulates in Canada have stopped stamping for cases like ours. Atleast I am 99% sure of this b'se I did my stamping in Canada in Feb2005 and they asked us why are you here for stamping....but I had a geniune reason to be in Canada......my husband was on a 6 month project in Canada thru his company and so we had all letters from our company saying so. So there is very less probability that they will stamp ur visa in Canada........I haven't heard of anybody on this forum who got visa stamped in Canada recently in say 4-6 months time......

But now that you are planning to go to India you should get it stamped there. But recently I checked the appointments for visa stamping in Mumbai are available around end of Jan ......but for Delhi it is around end of Oct.
