Please help......Does one need to fill out I-824 form for approved H1B (renewal) stamping in India?
 
I got my H1B(renewal) stamped at chennai in dec 2002. I did not fill this form. I am not sure if the rules have chaged since then...

I 824 is action on approved petition.
It is to request correction in name or duplicate copy of lost H1b.
Has to be sent to INS processing center (eg. Vermont)
It has nothing to do with H1b stamping.

Not an immigration expert ............
Please verify from other sources
 
Thanks guys. This information was from our Human resource office. They confuse me all the time.
