I need some help and advice about my situation.
I have Masters from US and got a H1 sponsored by a consultant and got it stamped in my passport in India.
This was in 2003.
But I had to stay back in India for some reason and started working in India.
I got a B1 visa stamped for official travel and my H1 was not cancelled in my passport when I got B1.
I travelled to the US on B1 thrice so far but never entered US with my H1.
My questions:
1) Can I still enter US with my H1.
Expiry date is July 6,2006.
2) If I get a new employer sponsor a new H1, would there be a problem getting the new H1 stamped when I goto the consulate?
3) Will my B1 visa get cancelled when I get a new H1 stamped ?
4)If I have to get a new H1, since I have a Masters from US, do I fall under advanced degree cap..meaning.. Should I rush for a new H1 soon and will I have to worry about october quota or is it seperate?
