H1B revalidation and passport validity

My passport is valid until Dec 2005 and I would like to get my H1 revalidated. My H1 extension is granted until Sep 2006. Indian high commission in Chicago would not extend my passport validity as it is valid over 1 year.
I also read that the passport should be valid atleast 6 months beyond H1 validity. What do I do now? Will St louis validate my visa until the passport validity?

1. You will not be issued a revalidation stamp in ur passport.....
if the visa is expired more than one year or visa not expiring in next 60 days.

3. From the day INS receive your application for this stamping, your passport should be valid for 9 months ( 6months + 3 months processing time approx.)

I think you are good for applying ...... if u r not in the 1st point stated above.
