H1B renewal for 2nd term necessary with EAD in hand?? Pls Help!!

Hello all-

My 1st term for H1B i.e 3 years, will be over this June. I already have a EAD/AP in hand and am wondering if the renewal of the H1B will do me any good. Someone said that it is "safe" to have H1B also in hand.......is this true?? Pls advise.....

If your 485 is denied for any reason, H1 allows you to continue to work. Once you switch to EAD you will go out of status under such situation.
