H1B Receipt Notice & B2 - Visitor Visa
I would like to bring my in-laws here in visitor visa and here is my situation.
My H1B expired recently ( Sep 2004 ) but I applied for the extension in Aug 2004 and it is still being processed. I have the H1B receipt notice (not the approval) for the extension.
Is it okay to send my H1B reciept notice as a proof of my status here? ( Ofcourse I will send my expired H1B approval notice and all other required documents to my in-laws )
Has anyone done this before and got approvals? My in-laws will be stamping at Chennai Consulate.
I have posted the same on other B1 forums also. Sorry for redundant postings.
Please help.
Thanks,
Rasi
