H1B question

Gurus, my friend who is in India got an offer from my company, as you know H1 quota is finished. my company is keen to get him here. Co. has a good financial standing also.
Can somebody suggest me about other options, he can come and work for this company.
BTW, company also has an office in London.

Any help will make his life.

If your company has an office in India, then they can bring him on L1 blanket petition. Even if your company has good financial status, without H1B approval from INS doesnt do any good for him.

Even if he gets to your UK office, for him to start working in US, he still needs a H1 and H1 quota of 65000 is inclusive for all countries.

He cannot come on a visit visa and change to H1 using COS within US.

Sorry that I am able to suggest you the only above options.

Yes, but does your company has offices in India? But again coming into US with what ever visa, doesnt help him as he needs a H1/L1 to work in USA.

So whatever visa he comes in , he would still need a H1/L1 to get it transferred before he can even start working.

is there any possibility to come on Business visa.

although it is not advised He can come here on Business visa for six months and go back and come again. Lot of companies does this way. Salary is not paid but they pay as expence.
