Hello,
I will be filing for H1B this April and wanted to know if a previous employment under F1 would be a problem?
Under F1 I was employed with an international organization for 3 months. I understand that students can take employment with international organizations (e.g., UN, World Bank) but still need to apply for work authorization from the USCIS before they start work.
In this case, I wasn't aware that I had to apply for authorization when I took on my employment. Does this pose a serious problem in successfully processing my H1B application? If yes, do you have any advise?
Thank you for your feedback.
Ash
