Dear friends,

I want to know if some permanent resident of Canada who has got an offer from a law firm in the US can apply for H1B premium processing visa for job of law clerk/attorney?

How long it takes and approximately how much is the cost?

Thank you in advance for your help.

It's the same as any other H-1 filing. Premium processing takes about 1-2 weeks (if no RFE is issued) . H-1 filing fee is $1,130, Premiup Processing adds another $1000 and then there are incidentals.

H1 for lawyers !!!

I cant imagine that the USA has a scarcity of lawyers :)
After hig tech and bio tech have lawsuits again on the verge of becoming the next big thing ?

There are plenty of attorneys.

I am one of 60,000+ in New Jersey alone. I'm also one of about 7000 AILA members worldwide so that is a much smaller field. It all depends on the specialization and the skill level.
