H1B - preliminary question!

Hi all, I'd like to know if anybody could give me an idea on processing times of H1B Visa.

I am quite new to this forum. Here is my situation: I just finished my PhD and will start a post-doc at an American university, so they will request a H1B visa in order to hire me as a post-doc (I am not eligible to J1 Research Scholar). They are willing to take care of paperwork ASAP.

I've heard that the requirements for a H1B application changed recently, so I would like to know how much time on average it takes to have it approved through regular processing. Also, how long will it take if we apply for 'premium processing'?

I know it's a broad question and it my vary from case to case, but it would be helpful to hear your experiences.

Hi! Can anybody help me with the question above? Just an idea on how long will the whole H1B process take when University is the sponsor?

Hi,
Mine took around 2.5 months in the regular process. But it was three years ago. I think the best place to ask would be your university's international staff office. They will have some statistics from recent cases that are similar to yours.
