H1B - pls help!

Hi Guys, question for you.

Work at Company A through H1
Company B has sponsored GC through future employment

Now I have to extend my H1 through Company A. Do I need to necessarily tell Company A that I have a pending GC application from COmpany B?
Does or should Company A know that for extending my H1 status?
