H1b out of status please help to on how be on staus again

Hi, please help since I haven't found any anwers to this.

I was on my 2nd H1b period (ends on Jan 2009) when my employer shut down the company (Nov 2007). Found another employer but did not transfer H1b. I have been inquiring but haven't got any answers other than that I am out of status.
Questions:
How can I get my staus again?
I been looking for info inthe internet. I found that there is a TN Visa for Mexican/Canadian citizens, can I apply for one as an engineer ( I am from MEx)? If so do I need to go back to Mexico to do it?
Can I do a tranfer H1b at this point?
If I go back to Mexico can I apply for a new H1b after a year?

Pleaseeeeee I would realy appreciate any help!!!!!

You have been working illegally since you must work only for the employer holding your H1B as well as being out of status. You need a lawyer to determine if your situation can be salvaged since illegal work is treated as a serious offense.
 
What a mess!! Since you are from Mexico, you could have used TN visa to start working for the new employer.

As a first step exit the US ASAP and apply for an appropriate visa from your home country.
