Would like to know if time worked on H1B1 visa while in the US is counted towards H1B 6 years limit. I have been selected in the H1B lottery this year. However, the company suggests that they would not proceed with H1B filing as the lawyer has recommended because the time on H1B1 will be counted towards H1B and USCIS will reject my H1B. Please guide if this is true. Also, If my company can directly proceed with Green Card for me while I am on H1B1 (even-though it is a not a dual intent visa). Thank you for your help and guidance.
