H1B job lost Valid I 94 --- Do I have to leave ASAP ?

Today is 10 April 2009.


I was terminated on 4 April 2009.

My employer had filed for my H1B extension and I have received the approval for H1B extension till 30 April 2009. Hence the new I -94 is valid till 30 April 2009

My qtn is -

Do I have to leave the US ASAP or I can leave anytime before 30 April 2009 since there is not enough time for me to wrap up?

If your I-94 is valid, change of status in the US granted and if you are not on bench, then you do not have to leave the US.
