I am on an H1B visa and my company is also sponsoring me for the green card. Due to the status of the economy I am afraid that very soon the company might have to close.
Of course I believe in that case I can't be sponsored by them for green card anymore and the process stops but my question is, how long can I stay in the USA to look for another job? Should I go back to my contry right away if I lose my job?
Also what about if I am not laid off but another company offers me a better job. Is it easy to change employer remaining on H1B?
