H1B - H4 tax return with no ssn?

IRS has a way to get and TIN, tax identification number. Go to irs.gov and you will find it.

Prepare your tax return with blank SSN number your husband. Fill up form W-7. Although you can mail I would prefer to take to local IRS office and give it to them. Mailing address is different for this kind of applications.

You may need to take extension for state filing.
