I have a question regarding my h1b visa. I am currently in my opt 60 day grace period, which will expire on August 29th. I have received my h1b approval notice but my change of status was denied and my approval notice does not have a new 1-94 at the bottom of it. Does this mean that I have not changed status? Can I carry on using my f1 visa until October 1 then start working? If so do I need to go to the consulate before i start work?
A quick response would be appreciated because so far I am planning to go home and I don't want to if it can be avoided.
