H1b First time stamping. @ Chennai

I graduated with an MS & after my opt I am currently on my H1B.

I was wondering if, I have to wait till the total YTD wages on my w-2 cross that mentioned on my LCA.

Or can I go before to india to get my h1 stamped.

Also, how may days vacation will I need. I understand that I can schedule an appointment ahead of departure. So I am conptemplating that about 2 weeks in chennai should be sufficient.

You can go to Chennai and get H-1B stamped. Take all your pay slips for the current calendar year. That should be sufficient. Take all the W-2s and 1040s and tax return transcripts from IRS for the previous years you were lawfully present in the US on a F-1 visa. You just need to spend a day in Chennai for a 15-min H-1B interview. Mostly, it will be a verification of your documents. They will send you back the passport with a H-1B visa stamp and other documents by courier service. You should receive them within 3 or 4 days.
