H1b first time stamping and coming to different port of entry, any problems?

Hi All,

My friend, who works in NY is going for his 1st H1b stamping in India. He is flying out of JFK and On his return trip, he is coming to DFW (different port of entry) to drop of his cousin who is a minor child. Would there be any hassle at POE because of this?
Should he just return to JFK since his company is based in NY?

Any advice is highly appreciated.
