Hi,
I was on H1B visa as a full-time employee for an American company. They paid for my H1B visa fees but made me sign a contract that if I leave them within a year, I'll have to pay them my H1B visa fees. I left them within a year and got my H1B transferred to another company and now they are asking me to pay the legal fees. Are they legally correct because I know that the H1B fee is an employer fee? Do I have to pay them? If I don't pay them, can they take a legal action against me?
