Hi,
I've got H1B extention approval and I'm going to Mumbai in December. I had gotten my orginal H1B stamping in Toronto when I went there as a visitor (I was first a student in USA & later got a job in USA), and was planning to get stamping in Mumbai consulate this time.
I saw that I have to meet any one of the following conditions to get visa at Mumbai cons at http://www.visa-services.com/ ->
1. You have been resident of the Indian States of
Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh for the last 6 months.
2. You are residing in the US, and your last US visa
was issued by the US Consulate in Mumbai.
3. You are a ship crew applying for a C1/D visa through a shipping company or agency based in Mumbai.
In my case, I am resident of USA. So I must fall in 2nd category. But unfortunately my previous visa is stamped at Toronto, Canada and not at Mumbai consulate. So I violate the condition.
Do I need to go to Toronto again or am I fine?
