Applied for H1 extension in the 1st week of September. 1 week before my current H1B expiration date. Company sent wrong amount, last Friday it was returned from INS saying wrong amount. My currnt H1 expired on Friday, am I technically out of status or would I still be in status as INS received my application but with wrong amount and we would be sending it again with the correct amount this Monday.
Any thoughts or help would be really appreciated. Thank you for your replies.
