All,

Has anyone or your employer filed for a H1 extension on your own without the help of lawyer. If yes, could you please post your experience either here or as a private message.
My h1 is expiring this Aug28th, I am waiting for my I-140 approval, but meanwhile before I hear the decision of my I-140, I would like to get my h1 extension. I wanted to save couple thousand dollars by applying on my own if thats possible.
Please post your advise on this matter..

Thnx,
ABT

If it is the same job and same employer, you can apply for the extention yourself. You do not need a lawyer. It is pretty straight forward. Just download H1B forms and instructions from
httP://www.immihelp.com. You can use fillable forms. You can also get your Labor Condition Application approved online through the Dept. of Labor website within minutes. Print it and attach it alongwith other required documents. Also, send a copy of your old H1B approval.

I did my extention, cause my lawyer sucks! Good luck!

Thanks LaborApproved for your prompt response,
Yes, its the same job and same employer.
I did had a look at the I-129 form, I didn't understand whats up with page 3 to 10. It says "Supplement to form I-129, with different classifications (ex: E, L ,H)", I guess we have to use only H classification.

Can I please send you private message in case if I have any questions reg the same.

Thanks
