Hi,
My H1b 6 years limit is going to be over in another 6 months time. I filed my I-485 in Sep 99 in EB3 - VSC. I did not apply for EAD sofar and working with H1B. With new law, I hope I can extend the H1B beyond 6 years in one year increments. I have a son who is doing his 11th grade. I do no want to apply for EAD and would like to keep H1B and H4 (son). This is just in case anything happens to the GC process.

    1. Is it possible to extend the visas beyond 6 years limit?
    2. Do you see any problem in getting the extension?

I highly appreciate any input regarding this.

   Thanks

Mogaram

At the end of the 6 year term there is no difference in getting EAD or getting extended H1 because, you get to extend
your H1 to 1 more year since because of your pending GC application, so if anything happens ( god forbid ) to the GC,
then the extended H1 also becomes useless, so my thought is, at the end of your 6 year term, applying for EAD is the right
move because it cost less and simple process. you can apply EAD and AP for you and all your Dependants, that
will be enough.
