Hi All,
I came to USA on H1B in 2004. Basically, my employer is a consultancy and he has office in NJ. I work as contarctor for web based projects. As a contractor, I work in different states for different companies for 3-6 months projects. Whenever I change the state, I used to update my address to INS thru AR-11 form.
And my paystubs will have different addresses for every 3-6 months based on which state I work.
Currently, Iam working in Virginia.
Iam going to apply for the H1B extension in couple of months. When I apply for the H1B extension, the paystubs which I submit for the INS will have my Virginia address on them. And my paystubs do not any NJ address on them saying that I work in NJ. But, my employer resides in NJ and his office is also in NJ.
Is there any possibility that INS might deny the H1B EXTENSION to me saying that how can you work in VIRGINIA when your employer is located in NJ?
THIS QUESTION IS REALLY WORRYING ME A LOT.
Please give your advice.
Thanks,
-AKetan
