Hello,
I applied for my H1B extension couple of months back while I was working for Client-A. Couple of weeks later, Client-A didn't want my services anymore and terminated my contract. Fortunately, last month I am able to find another job at Client-B in different state. Now I received RFE for my H1B extension. My employer and I are sending all new contract documents with our fingers crossed!
Considering magnitude of current H1B rejections and my employer already got three H1B rejections, I started looking for other options to keep my status good.
By the way, my current H1B expires on 30JUL09.
Here are the alternatives I thought of:
1) Apply for my H1B transfer with another employer immediately before I know the status of current H1B extension.
2) Wait for status of current extension, and if it got rejected then immediately (with in a day) apply for H1B transfer with another employer. This option worries me that I might get out of status and jeopardizes my current job.
3) Apply for H4 now using my wife’s H1B and after receiving the H1B extension status go for H1B transfer. I thought in this way I maintain the good status between H1B extension rejection and new transfer application.
Please give me your valuable advice. If there are other options please advice me.
Thanks.
