I stayed in the U.S. for 6years on H1B. I applied for GC labor an year before my H1B is going to expire. After my H1B got expired (6 yrs), I applied for extension and got a receipt SRC# number for myself and my wife H4. We haven't yet got the approval notice.
My question is,
Can my wife (H4) travel to India under these conditions. I know that she cannot get back into the US without getting the new visa stamped on her passport. BUT, can she travel to India(one-way ticket) with an expired US visa. I can send her the approval papers and she can then get the visa stamped at the regional consulate.
