Approval : June 29, 2004 (Online status, yet to receive the mail)

Asked for three months vacation time (combined time spent in India over three trips).

Included with the documents submitted, was a doctor's certificate for wife (F-1), about her pregnancy and her due date in October (same month when my current H-1B is expiring). I do not know if it had any impact on the approval.

Every lawyer who I talked to said chances are 50-50. We took a chance, and it worked out for us.

Also, we never filed for Labor, green card, etc.

Just wanted to post the details, which might help others.....giving back to the forum that has helped me several times in the past.

Was on H-1B for full six years

First H-1B from October 2, 1998 to October 1, 2001
Second (current) H-1B from from October 2, 2001 to October 1, 2004

Newly approved H-1B requested from October 2, 2004 to December 31, 2004. Yet to recieve the approval notice. So, I cannot give the exact period for which it is approved.

Hope I answered your question.
