H1B extension and vacation. Need help!

My H1B is expiring (and so is the visa) on Decemeber 11, 2003. I need to file for extension. But I also want to go for vacation :) - coming back on either December 7th (highly preferred) or November 30th.

I have a few questions -

1. Is it ok to come back 4-11 days before H1B/visa expires?

2. Should I be applying for H1B extension BEFORE I leave for vacation or AFTER I come back from vacation?

3. So, I am planning something like - apply for extension NOW, leave on November first week and come back on Dec 7th. Do you think it will work? Or should I really come back by Nov end?

Hi

You better apply for H1 extension now... and depending on state where u r processing from... think of vacation.

Even Premium processing is taking 15 days to get cleared.
I prefer u not to leave without h1 extension and the stamping if possible.

Its not a problem to come in USA with 4-5 days validity on stamping.... u can say you have applied for extension and show the proof of it.

Do not get involved toomuch in vacation... seventh year extension is more important before u make vacation safe..
