h1b extension & 140 approval at previous employer

Case Summary:
* Employer A = Previous Employer with whom I have my I-140 approved
* Employer B = Current Employer. I do not have a PERM or I-140 approved with this employer. I used my I-140 with Emp.A to get a 3 year extension when I transferred from Emp.A to Emp.B [So now, due to this extension, I have my approved I-797 upto Aug'08 instead of ___, which was the end of my H1-B six years initially]
* Employer C = Future Employer. I am planning to move from Emp.B and join this Employer now.

Question:
1. Can I use my I-140 from Emp.A to get multiple 3 year extensions with Emp.C
- when I transfer my H1B from Emp.B to Emp.C
- or after joining Emp.C ?

*OR*
2. Do I need an approved I-140 from Emp.B to get multiple 3-year extensions with Emp.C when I change my job?

[Please note: This is assuming that the dates will not be current when I transfer or file for 3-year extensions. My priority date is Nov'05]

Your existing I-140 approval will be sufficient for H-1B extension as long as employer A demonstrates that they plan to hire you on receiving the GC. Please note that the 3 year H-1B upon I-140 approval is granted only once.

Second 3 yr H1B extension (9th-12th yr) using approved I-140 from previous employer?

manwithnoname: Could you please confirm whether 'the 3 year H-1B upon I-140 approval is granted only once.'? I found another posting : http://murthyforum.atinfopop.com/4/OpenTopic?a=tpc&s=1024039761&f=9024019812&m=2501073471
- where the extension seems to have been given twice.
I am in a similar situation, and trying to get clarification.

Have an approved I-140 from my first employer. I changed job at the end of 6th year of my H1B and got a 3 year extension until 2010 for my new employer (my PD -May 2005- was retrogressed at that time).
The new employer is unwilling to file GC.
Could I get another 3 year extension in 2010 using old I-140? What if my PD is current by then? Could the 3 year extension still be possible?

i just read that link you posted gp_perm

I also would like some clarification on that.
Is it possible to get multiple extensions for H1 and his/her H4 dependents based on H1's approved I-140?
