H1B Ext Stamping in Tijuana,Mexico: Please respond

Hi All,

Please repond to my queries asap. Really appreciate your help.

I scheduled an appointment for my H1B extension stamping at Tijuana, Mexico. Can some one clarify my understanding is correct on my below questions?

1. PIMS verification can be request via e-mail tijuanainfo@state.gov by forwarding the 1. I-797A.pdf and 2. Visa Appointment letter. PDF

My visa appointment is on 8th July, so can I request now?

2. Only fee we are paying towards consulate is at Banamex bank and obtaining the receipt. No other fees.

3. No Mexican visa required if we cross the boarder by foot

4. My son is US Citizen, but currently in India, so what should I put in Column 37 of DS-156

5. Column 22 of DS-156 ‘When do you intended to arrive in the US?’ can I put the same date (8th July)?

Could u plz share your experience if you have already attended. Looks like you have done it on your own. I am interested in doing it self rather than going thru middle-men.
