Any April H1B Ext Filer got Approved ??

Can any body advice have filed on April 23rd is it ok to change it Premium Processing ?
or how long will take to process ?

im just the man u r looking for...my H1 ext RD was April 16, 2002 at NSC and it dint get approved till 20th aug. so i upgraded it to Premium processing and it got approved on 30th aug.
i think premium processing is money spent well..

Isn't it just extension. I assume one can work while the
processing is taking place.

I am planning to file for ext and wanted some advice on the same.

Legally, you need to file one day before your h1 status expire, and then you will get ~ 240 days for grace period for H1 petetion to be apporved. But in between if you need to travel outside country you will be stuck, (there is no AP for h1 adjusty)

After introducing premium processing regular processing takes long time, but mine came back within 3 months from NSC. (in aug'2002) And I would advise you not take chance and start process for h1 ext ASAP and well before your h1 expire, otherwise there is no need to primium processing although it very fast. (if you employee ready to pay i would go with that option)

Reason

Reason is I might have to travel back to my country and my old H1B from same company is already expired .
I have seen March RD filers waiting for an Extention to be approved so kinda confused :confused:

whatz the normal H1-B extn processing time(recently) at the Nebraska centre from the Rcpt date ?
anybody got a recent extension from Nebraska ?
