H1B expiring(5th yr) vs. EAD applied

Gurus Please Help me!!!

My H1B expires March 1st 2003(5 years) and applied for I140/I485/EAD/AP (texas) 03/14/02(mailing date, i hope they will receive it in next few days!.),
my company is saying once applied for I485 we dont need to extend the H1B visa. Is this going to be a problem with my gc processing or in any future ?.
Do I need to get my H1B visa extended?


I only have around 45 days left !!!! Please some one respond!!!.
any attorney responce is appreciated.

Yes, Once u apply for I485, u can legaly stay in USA.
However, u can not work until your EAD got approved.
