H1B, EAD/AP, Adjustment of Status...

Hello,

I have an H1B visa (stamp in my passport) that expires in couple of years. I'm also currently in the "Adjustment of Status" process for my greencard (about a year left). I'm about to apply for EAD and Advance Parole because I'm considering moving to a new company. I'm going to travel back home to Russia in the end of July and beginning of August for 3 weeks. EAD and Advance Parole won't be approved until I come back. Will I have any problems getting back into the country while my "Adjustment of Status" in addition to the "EAD /w Advance Parole" applications are going through?

Thanks!

Lunatic,

Ask all of your questions in one thread; and for AOS related questions, find the right thread under AOS. Switching to CP is transferring your case to a consulate in your home country. It is faster than AOS, but you can't change jobs and you have to stay with the company even after CP for a reasonable period of time. Given the fact that you are well into AOS and are thinking about changing jobs, CP may not be a good choice for you. However, if you choose CP and your home consulate accepts attorney certified filing of papers, you may get your interview in the next 6 months or so. Consult your attorney.;)
