H1B Delay,advice needed URGENT Please help

hi this is pavan and i am from chennai, I took up an interview at the delhi consulate on feb 18 2005 and the consulate officer redirected me to chennai consulate.After that due to some personal reasons I was not able to take up an interview at the chennai consulate.
Now I am planning to go for the interview and I am now worried so as to what reason i should give at the consulate and actually my project in US has aslo been delayed until next month.
I request you people out there to advice me on this issue.
It would be nice of you if you do so.

I don't think that you need to give a reason for this delay.
Its your decision to go for an interview based on your needs -- you don't have to explain it to anyone.

Plus given the delay in Chennai consulate, it anyway takes people 3+ months to get a interview date !!

No big deal -- just go for the interview - you don't need to come up with any sort of excuse
