My H1b has been approved 15days back. I have few quiries
1. Does the INS send in addition to the approval of H1 B notice, the educational and other resume /documents /certificates (that I submitted while applying for H1b) to the Consulate after the approval where I am to attend for the visa.
2. My brother is in US on H1B since 1 and half year. So in the column of visa application there is a question asking if my brothers /sisters are in US. If I say yes does this have any impact on my visa being given?
3.the Past company where I worked two years back is no more. What should we do if the consulate wants to call and confirm my past work experience there. Ofcourse, another company has been started by the same CEO & MD at a near location in the same city. And this new company also recruited some of the same employees who were my colleagues when I was working in that previous company. In such case what should I write in visa application form and say to the consular officer during the interview.
4. Is it true that the consular officer makes call to the present and past employers to confirm the applicants employment in these organisation?
4. I have asked my US employer to send the company photos inside and outside, brochure, annual report. However, on the mumbai consulate website these documents have not been asked to be submitted while applying for the visa. In such case should I enclose these documents while applying for the visa?
5. My US employer employee strength is around 10-15. However I was told that an year back it was 20-25. Does this low number has affect my visa being granted?
6. What should be mentioned for the question : " where do u stay in US"
"who will sponsor your tickets for going to US"
7. Should we book the airline tickets to US before attending the interview? Does this increase the chance of getting the visa?
8. Is there any link which gives a comprehensive list of probable question and answers by the consular officer while attending the interview for an H1B visa
9. Earlier, my once my F1 visa 5 year back, and B1 visa 3 years back has been refused. Does this have impact on my H1B visa?
10. Does Consular office in India keep record of earlier visa refusals? I am attending Mumbai consulate for my H1 B while my earlier visa refusals are from US Consulate office in Chennai. Does the Mumbai consulate get the records of previous refusals from Chennai?
I am attending for the visa interview at the mumbai consulate in the next 5 days. An eary suggestions will greatly relieve me of the tension with the above quiries.
