My wife is currently on an cap-subject (NON advanced degree 65K quota)
H1B with an MNC.She got through the H1B lottery last year to get her visa and start working in the US.
Now, she is receiving a good job offer from a University.
However, our dilemma is, if she does an H1B Employee Transfer - will she go under a "Cap Exempt" category now that she will work for a university. If so, we are worried that she might have trouble to transfer again to another cap-subject employer in the future.
Since she already got through the Cap-Subject quota last year, we just wanted to make sure, joining a university will not impact future H1B transfers and her cap-subject status.
